BEST stroller, tried 7+ others

UPDATE: I bought my Bob almost 4 years ago now and have since sold it to a friend. I saw it the other day and it looks looks great & is functioning perfectly. Bob really does make the best, most durable products.

UPDATE: Now owned my BOB for one year and I STILL LOVE IT!!! It's holding up fantastic, still turns on a dime, nothing broken, creaking, squeaking, ripped or faded. My kids totally beat it up (food, mud, markers) and it still looks almost brand new. I hose it off every once in a while and that does the trick.

First I want you to know that I have purchased or borrowed them all!!! I am my own mini consumer reports! LOL I have spent over $1600 on bad strollers. Even though I bought the double BOB I am placing a review here too because the design, fabric, & features are exactly the same.

You name it, I've bought it or tried it. I have compared:
1) Graco Duo Rider tandem
2) The Peg Perego Duette (super expensive $750 and worst stroller ever made)
3) Peg Perego Aria Twin
4)Zooper twin side by side (not sure of the name)
5) Maclaren side by side
6) Phil&Ted double jogger (this has the rear kid almost touching the ground - my kids HATED it - and after kid #2 is in back there is NO basket room - are we joking?)
7) Graco Duo Rider side by side
8) Peg Perego Pilko P3 single
9) Grago single

The BOB Revolution Duallie ROCKED THE HOUSE compared to all the above and here's why....

First of all I have a HUGE 4 year old (46 lbs and 45 inches) and a medium sized but hefty 3 year old (26 lbs and 37 inches). I can NOT feel the weight of my children when I push them in the BOB!!!!! Parents, you realize how incredible this is. The stroller is easier to push than my single stroller! And I am not exaggerating. That was the first thing that got me because frankly I was not interested in a jogger. AND....get this... my 3 year old does not make the stroller pull to one side, even when he rides solo!!! I had such a problem with this in all the other strollers it was such a chore to push the kids that i didn't take them anywhere. This was the case with each of the other strollers, but especially the case with the Graco Duo rider tandem and the Peg Perego Duette (both took an act of God to turn).

The other thing I love are the HUUUGE sun canopies, they are independent of each other and practially cover my children completely and since my kids hate direct sunlight this was a must, must, must.

Next I am sure you want to know how it turns....FANTASTIC! I strolled it all around the store when buying it and it could totally get in and out of isles without bumping everything off the shelves. This shocked me. And it does absolutely make it through doorways, a little tricky but it does. The only way to describe the way it turns is to quote my husband "it's like butter" :) It is seriously the smoothest ride ever!! I am so excited about it after going through so many strollers that were such a pain.

Also each seat gives my hefty children plenty of room width-wise which doesn't make sense because they are almost the same dimensions as the others, magic I tell you. They don't look scrunched at all. They HATED the McClaren side by side whatever-its-called, and I hated it too frankly. I was stuggling even in the store and my kids were begging to get out, so cramped very hard to push. I felt this way with the Peg Perego Twin Aria too and was shocked because I LOVE my Peg Pergo Pilko P3. First I could have sworn the Twin Aria was going to snap when I turned, extremely flimsy, and my then two year old was cramped and complaining.

That's another thing about the Bob, that sucker is really solid. It is very well made and has stood the test of time. There is very little (if any) plastic used. EVERY other stroller mentioned above is made of a lot of plastic that was showing wear after a short period of time.

The shocks on the BOB are better than my car, I swear. It glides along and ever so slightly bounces up and down while you push as the movement of pushing is enough to send the shocks absorbing it. It's not a nusance at all if that's what your thinking, it actually makes pushing easier.

The under basket is not the best, but considering everything, they have made the most of it. Also there are two decent sized baskets on the back of each seat. I have not had any problems like I thought I would and I pack a change of clothes for each, lunch for three of us, dolls, power rangers, etc and I have always been good. I do HIGHLY recommend the handle bar console/cup holder. Without it I was lost. It stores my keys, phone, wallet and two water bottles.

As for the height of the seat area itself, my son only keeps growing taller (now 46 inches and counting) and he still fits with no complaints and believe me he would say something :)

Anyway, I hope this helps all your parents who are making the very stressful "perfect stroller" choice. Learn from my mistakes! :) Also, I do wish I had initially purchased the fuzzy seat covers - mostly to protect the seats from the inevitable spills, squished PB&J sandwiches, etc. :)

If I had purchased this stroller two years ago, things would have been a lot different. I know this stroller will last me a looong time. I will never buy a small compact stroller again after this.
Worth EVERY cent!

I already have a single jogging stroller (not a BOB) and have been happy with it. We are in the process of adopting our second child, which we had less than 24 hours notice about, so a lot of money is going to legal costs, baby stuff, and my time off of work, and as a result I was concerned about spending this much on a stroller, but is was worth every cent. With the BOB Duallie, I am ecstatic, overjoyed, delighted, thrilled and looking forward to my next trip out.

For my first trip out, I put my 2 year old and 11 week old in and went for a six mile walk. The trip was so smooth, both kids slept for most of the time. The seats recline enough so that my baby is nearly flat, no problems with his head bobbing around (pardon the pun). The shocks give this stroller an incredibly smooth ride, which transits to less work for my arms. I didn't realize how much effort went into the other stroller, pushing it and turning it. The smooth ride also allowed us to walk faster, a plus when trying to lose weight.

The stroller can turn in circles on itself, allowing for extremely sharp turns. Very nice, especially when inside a small store, like Starbucks. The windows up top are well placed enough that I can actually see my kid's face, not just their little bodies. The straps are the easiest to adjust of any stroller I've used. There is extra padding along the shoulder straps to cushion the kid's shoulders. The straps at the waist don't come out of the sides, (this is kinda hard to explain) the strap is attached in the center of the seat, and the sides come around the child, more like a belt and allowing for a snugger fit. Even my 70 year old mother had a great time pushing the stroller.

As for the Mesa Orange, it is more like a burnt orange, with brown trim and I am very glad I got it! It is not at all like the neon orange it appears in some of the photos. Be sure to get the tray, I forgot to order it with the stroller. The storage is a little shallow, but being double wide, there is still plenty of room for stuff.

Best stroller

Reviewer: Inna,
This is the best stroller!!! We've had a single BOB Revolution for 2 years and now purchased 2007 Duallie since our second daughter was born. Our 4-month old loves sleeping in it and our two-year old enjoys the ride and comfort. Unlike most dual strollers, this one can be pushed with one finger. This stroller is not small but still fits through most doors. If you are looking for a double stroller, don't waste your money on anything else and just buy this one.
Nothing better than this! *List of accesories you may want*

When I first ordered this stroller it nearly brought tears to my eyes to pay that much. BUT it has been worth every single penny!!! It is the greatest stroller out there! I have twins and this stroller finally helped me get out of the house when they were infants (which was a really difficult stage). I even used it to walk to our local grocery store and it fit perfectly through the small doors. In addition to my twins I have a 3-year-old and he often sits on the front of the stroller while the twins sit in the seats -- even with three kids on the stroller it glides along effortlessly and I can even still steer it with one hand.

When the stroller arrives it is SIMPLE to put together. Just slip on the wheels and you are set. It folds up more compactly than a double stroller -- even when loading the entire family (5-people) for a trip "up north" we can still fit the double BOB stroller in the car. Just keep in mind that when you do put the BOB in the back of your car (even an SUV) most likely you will have to take off the wheels. But don't let that scare you -- you won't believe how easy it is to slip the wheels on and off. Trust me -- you'll never regret buying this stroller!!!

When I first bought the stroller I used it mainly just for walks. But now that the twins are older and I can actually get out and about with them there are a few accessories for the stroller that I have purchased. I bought the matching diaper bag and love it because it fits over the handle bar -- so there is no lugging a bag around on your shoulder and it's super easy access and reach into any of the pockets. I also have the wind/rain shield which is great for the cooler Fall months. It keeps the twins warm and protects them from the wind. I bought a double stroller bug net that works great with the BOB and prevents those pesky mosquito's from getting to my babies. :-) I also just now ordered the console for water bottles etc. That will come in very handy when using the stroller to go to parks, carnivals, etc. My suggestion would be to first buy just the stroller before purchasing any accessories. That will give you time to decide what you really need for your use of the stroller.
Wow A Great stroller

I researched for the perfect stroller. I wanted a double stroller that could work with a car seat. I bought this along with the car seat attachment. It is very smooth, easy to fold. It took a bit to install the car seat attachment, but once it is installed you will never have to remove it. It has plenty of room for a car seat and 2 year old. The only complant I have is that it is hard to put a diaper bag under the kids, so just buy one that can strap to the handle bars. This is the most I have spent on anything for the kids, but it was work every penny.

I use it with the Graco Safeseat. It works great.
fantastic stroller

I spent a lot of time researching double stollers and even test drove as many as I could and the BOB is super! It really does turn on a dime and is extremely easy to push. I have twins so getting outside for a jog/walk is crucial to keeping my sanity and shape. It is pricey, but comparitively extremely durable, easy to fold, feels a lot lighter than it appears, and I lOVE the separate sun canopies. The ride is very smooth (due to the shocks) even on bumpy terrain.
110% worth the money

Reviewer: A. Schwarck,
I hesitated spending the money for this stroller. After reading all of the reviews I decided it must be worth it. I was right! The stroller came 95% assembled---all I had to do was put the wheels on which took no time at all! I took my two year old and 3 month old daughters on a walk immediately. I knew it was a good stroller when they were both fast asleep within 15 minutes. The stoller pushes with ease and absorbes shocks great. The seats recline much further than any stroller I've ever seen so your little ones can take a nap without 'chicken neck'. The shades are independent so if one is taking a nap and one is awake, they can have the shades at different levels. The shades block out the sun greatly---even my 3 month old daughter could recline and not get the late afternoon sun in her eyes. I can't tell you how happy I am with this stroller. I wish I would have bought it a month ago! It is sooooo worth the money.
Best Double Stroller

Reviewer: Janis Lee,
This stroller is very easy to maneuver around the bumpy streets and the mall. My 2 1/2 years old and my 5 month old love the stroller. Very nice comfortable seat. The 5 point harness seatbelt is great to keep them safe and in place. I love this stroller. Even my Dad who pushed this stroller when we were at the mall was amazed how light it was to push around. The swivel front wheel lets you get around tight corners. Best double stroller.
The best stroller EVER!

I am the mother of 15 month old twins, and we use our stroller every day. I have purchased many products online, but this is the first time I have felt strongly enough about a product to actually write a review. We have purchased different brands, including Combi and Peg Perego. This stroller is in an entirely different league. We exercise with it, but we also shop and have leisurely walks around the neighborhood.

This stroller is masterfully designed. It has very comfortable and roomy seats for the twins and excellent adjustable canopies. We have never had better sun coverage for our kids. This stroller moves like a dream. It is effortless to turn and maneuver in mutliple settings. You can literally turn a corner with one finger. On flat terrain, it almost feels self-propelled - that is how smooth and effortless it is to use this stroller. Even though it is a little wider than most double strollers, we have had no problems in malls and shopping centers. The bright Mesa orange is gorgeous and we like how it makes us quite visible to traffic.

I think the only thing that could be improved is the storage. While there is plenty of compartments and room, there is not enough to fit our diaper bag. However, we feel there is plenty of room for the things we need.

The Bob is the easiest stroller we have had as far as quick folding and storage in our van or garage. We love the design of the parking brake as well - it is one metal bar across the back rather than having to mess with individual wheel brakes.

The grandparents rave about it. An even bigger endoresement has come from our 2 part-time nannies, who have many years of experience using multiple brands of strollers. We have recommended the Bob Daullie to all our friends who have younger chidren. This stroller is well worth the money.
